The unpopular European crypto-exchange ETERBASE was hacked and lost assets in several cryptocurrencies in its hot wallets. The platform reported this on Twitter.According to the publication, six wallets used to store Bitcoin, Ethereum and ERC20 tokens, XRP, Tron, Tezos and Algorand were hacked. The company did not disclose the amount of damage. According to The Block, it exceeds $ 5 million.
Most of the stolen assets were in ether and ERC20 tokens - they accounted for about $ 3.9 million. The second largest wallet is XTZ with $ 471,000.
ETERBASE claims to have contacted "all centralized exchanges that may receive assets of illegal origin." Trading on the exchange is currently suspended.
ETERBASE specializes in altcoin trading and has its own Eterbase Utility Token (XBASE), as well as the EURBASE (EBASE) stablecoin, backed by deposits in euros, bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
