Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Zaif has announced that it will complete the transition from Tech Bureau to Fisco Digital Asset Group (FDAG) on April 22 and resume normal operations the next day, writes Cointelegraph. In September last year, the exchange was hacked when about $ 60 million in cryptocurrency, including bitcoins, Bitcoin Cash and Monacoin, were stolen from its platform. As part of a compensation plan for exchange users, FDAG acquired a large stake in Zaif's business and transferred over $ 44.6 million to the Tech Bureau.
According to an earlier announcement of the exchange, 40% of the lost funds will be compensated to users by fiat, and the remaining 60% by cryptocurrency, which will be available for withdrawal on April 23.
Another hacked cryptocurrency exchange, Cryptopia, meanwhile, continues to move users' surviving funds to new wallets, partially resumed trading on its platform and implemented the ability to withdraw some large cryptocurrencies.
